Mark Bratten-Zappala is an award-winning film director and writer. He received his Master of Fine Arts from USC's School of Cinematic Arts in Film & Television Production. Having attended Interlochen Arts Academy and Rutgers University for theater performance, Mark's first cinematic experiences were in front of the camera. With the tutelage of his mentor Connie Tavel, Mark Bratten-Zappala jumped behind the camera and never looked back. From visceral dramas to irreverent comedies, Mark focuses on expansive and emotive works. Not one to sit idle and certainly not let his disabilities stop him, Mark's advocacy extends to the LGBT+ community, rewilding and reforesting, and disability advocacy for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Mark currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with his husband.
