Writing • Development • Directing
Marco Zappala is a Writer & Director and current MFA candidate at USC's School of Cinematic Arts in the Comedy Program for Film & Television. Having attended Interlochen Arts Academy and Rutgers University for theater performance, Marco's first cinematic experiences were in front of the camera. With the tutelage of his mentor Connie Tavel, Marco Zappala jumped behind the camera and never looked back. From visceral dramas to irreverent comedies, Marco focuses on expansive and emotive works. Not one to sit idle and certainly not let his disabilities stop him, Marco's advocacy extends to the LGBT+ Community, the Borderline Personality Disorder Community, and disability advocacy for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Marco currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
